I created these pieces for a looming show in march. Working with colored pencils, acrylic, watercolor, ink, graphite and various other medias, I started doodling birds and fish, all the while thinking about fairy tales, working around my doodles in layers of bright blue paint and pen and ink designs. I tried to focus on sky and water, the similarity of their patterns, idea of an intersection, or a surreal lack of barrier between the two.
